Jimmy Bishop

Jimmy Bishop, 48, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his residence.

Born November 12, 1974 to the late Coach James “Jim” and Linda Bishop, he was a native of Jefferson but lived most of his life in Forsyth County before moving to Dawson County 10 years ago.  Jimmy was employed by AT&T as a Facility Technician.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and football.  A member of Salem Baptist Church, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen Bishop.

Surviving are his brothers, Kip Bishop, Dawsonville, Ryan Bishop, Talking Rock; and a nephew, Forest Bishop.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 12 noon at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Russell Burt will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 17 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
