James Edward “Eddie” Cronic

Mr. James Edward “Eddie” Cronic, 74, of Flowery Branch, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, October 13, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on July 14, 1949 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Eva Lee Cronic.

Eddie was the best husband and daddy to ever live! He loved his wife Linda for 47 years. He was the best daddy ever to Jamie and Heather. He loved them more than anything in the world. Eddie was a great son in law to Carolyn. He did anything for her she needed just like she was his own mother. He loved time with his grandkids and taught them many things. Eddie loved camping and fishing and just being outdoors. He loved his job at Dairy Queen and the Walters family that he worked for. He was employed with Dairy Queen for 48 years, retiring as manager. He was a great man to anyone that met him and would do anything for anyone.

Mr. Cronic was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cronic is preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Cronic and Debra Ash.

Mr. Cronic is survived by his wife, Linda Cronic of Flowery Branch; daughters and sons in law, Jamie and Wayne Gee of Cleveland, Heather Cronic and Justin Thomas of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Joshua Gee, Gina Gee, Carter Couch; brother and sister in law, Ricky and Sandra Cronic of Lula; brother, Kevin Cronic of Cleveland; sister and brother in law, Sonya and Tony Porter of Gainesville; special friend, Michael Walters and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you hug your husband, daddy and all of your family. Spend time with them and love them.
