Ray Tucker Jr.

Ray Tucker, Jr, age 79, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Alice Tucker; sister, Carol Whited; and brothers, Allen and John Tucker. Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley Ann Keith Tucker of Flowery Branch; children, Delores Smith of Jefferson, GA, Diane and Steve Bramblett of Maysville, GA, Keith and Tonya Tucker of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Javan, Analicia, Stephen, Rebeca, Jared, Zack, Jessica, Dylan; brothers, Rex (Joyce) Tucker of Buford, GA and Kenneth (Martha) Tucker of Buford; six great grandchildren, Emma, Stetson, Jax, Easton, Evander, Josie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Tucker was born on August 10, 1944 in Carnesville, GA and graduated in 1964 from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. He was a retired machine operator from Heraeus Company, working there over fifteen years. He also had worked for Massey Ferguson Company in Doraville, GA. Mr. Tucker was a member of Encounter Church in Gainesville, GA, and also a former member of Buford Church of God. He loved working outdoors, gardening and working on his vineyard. He enjoyed camping, and he was known for decorating the home with numerous Christmas lights. Mr. Tucker loved spending time with his grandchildren and the family. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Harrison and Rev. Thomas Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24 at the funeral home.
