Dustin Issac Hendrix

Dustin Issac Hendrix, 24, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Dustin was born on June 4, 1999 in Duluth, Georgia, to Betty Bolton Hendrix and Mark Hendrix.

He was a true adventurer, finding his passion in the world of motorcycles. Whether it was the thrill of the sportbike or the leisurely ride of a cruiser, Dustin had a deep love for the open road. In his downtime, he could often be found working on cars, showcasing his skills in the paint and body department at Chestatee Ford. One of his proudest achievements was the restoration of his personal truck, an '90 Ford, a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. In addition to his automotive and motorcycle passions, Dustin enjoyed video games and spent countless hours at the gym, constantly pushing himself to be the best version of himself.

Dustin's enthusiasm for life extended to the simpler pleasures too. He had an unmatched love for bonfires, the company of friends, a cold beer in hand, and the sound of country music filling the air. His infectious sense of humor had the power to light up any room he entered, leaving everyone with a smile that lasted long after he departed.

Dustin is survived by his parents, Mark and Betty Hendrix; siblings Keisha Hendrix of Augusta, Keith Hendrix of Cumming, and Ashley Hendrix of Dahlonega; maternal grandmother Christine Bolton Sellers; cousins Blake Hendrix, Leah and Zachary Prichard, and Aden Oglesby; aunt and uncle Frances and Avery Payne; and niece, Kiyanna Hendrix. Dustin is mourned by numerous friends and extended family who were touched by his kindness and laughter.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Judy Hendrix, and great grandparents Monnie Hughes and Buddy and Geneva Bolton.

A celebration of Dustin's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Biddy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
