Rogers Reynolds

Mr. Rogers Reynolds, 83, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Leon Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. They will also receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 30th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Born on May 3, 1940 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Q.R. Reynolds and the late Maggie Smith Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a man of faith. He was retired from the Ninth District Opportunity, Inc.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his wife, Verdina Reynolds, daughter, Shelia Jarrard; sisters, Shirley Loggins, Utah Reynolds, Arizona Walls and brother, Junior Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his daughters, Slenia Reynolds of Gainesville; Shelby Woody (Raymond) of Lula; son, James Reynolds (Ashley) of Gainesville; daughter, Sylvia Flanagan (Johnny) of Gainesville; 11 grandchildren, Tania Reynolds, Jeffrey Jarrard, Rogers Fisher, Kayla Lee, Brittany Woody, Shane Reynolds, Tasha Reynolds, Tesa Scarborough, Jordan Flanagan, Johnny Flanagan, Kimberly Crider; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
