Edna Pugh Puckett, age 91, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Gladston Puckett; grandson, Brian Gravitt; parents, Ezra and Delphia Puckett; twin brother, Ezra Pugh, Jr; sisters, Vivian Thornton, Katherine Lavelle, Clara Vining; brother-in-law, Carl (and Mildred) Puckett. Mrs. Puckett is survived by daughter, Sandra (Charles) Gravitt of Buford; sons, Wayne Puckett of Buford, Joel (Cindy) Puckett of Buford; grandchildren, Don and Rachel Gravitt of Buford, Will Puckett of Oakland, CA, Natalie and Kyle Chambers of Maysville, GA, Whitney and Erik Herrington of Gainesville, GA, Tyler and Summer Puckett of Jefferson, GA, Trevor Puckett of Buford; eleven grandchildren; sister, Betty Pugh Buice of Buford; sister-in-law, Willie Pugh of Buford; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Puckett was born on March 30, 1932 in Buford, GA and graduated from Buford High School in 1949. She was a homemaker but she was active outside the home, working at Harmony Elementary School as a cashier, at Gwinnett Daily Post, as well as at Lovable Company in Buford. Mrs. Puckett was a long-time faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church in Buford, where she was the church pianist for many years.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Satterfield and Rev. Jerry Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5 at the funeral home.
