Madeline Kate Holtzclaw

Obituary Date: Sunday, July 16, 2023

Mrs. Avonlea Cierra Dixon Holtzclaw, age 29, her son, Colton Elijah Holtzclaw age 7 and her daughter, Madeline Kate Holtzclaw, age 5, all entered into heaven together on July 16, 2023.  They touched many lives and will be cherished forever.

 Funeral services for Avonlea and her children will be Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Free Chapel Worship Center with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pastor Karen Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Avonlea was born October 6, 1993 in Maryville, Tennessee to Richard Alan Dixon and Shannon Denise Lawson.  She was employed with Keller Williams Lanier Partners & Topline Transaction Co.   Avonlea was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clyde Lawson and her uncles, Michael Lawson and Nickolas Jonathan Dixon.

Colton was born June 25, 2016 and Madeline was born June 11, 2018 in Gainesville, Georgia to Patrick Neil Holtzclaw and Avonlea Cierra Dixon Holtzclaw.  They were preceded in death by their great-grandparents, Patrick & Elizabeth Hulsey and great-grandfather, Clyde Lawson.

Avonlea is survived by her husband, Patrick Neil Holtzclaw of Dahlonega, father & step-mother, Richard & Judy Dixon of Dawsonville, mother & step-father, Shannon & Eric Hubbard of Knoxville, TN, half-sister, Kalyssa Hubbard of Knoxville, TN, grandmother, Shirley Lawson of Maryville, TN, grandparents, Rev. Dickie & Vivian Dixon of Oakwood, aunt & uncle, Martha & Eugene Mitchell of Vonore, TN, uncle, Michael James Dixon of Oakwood, step-sisters, Jennifer Hubbard of Knoxville, TN, Faith Addison, Macie Addison, both of Dawsonville and Savannah Addison of Rochester, NY and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Cristy Phillips & Matt Edgecombe.  Also surviving are numerous cousins and other relatives.

Colton and Madeline were survived by their father, Patrick Neil Holtzclaw of Dahlonega, grandparents, Wade & Laura Hulsey Phillips, Charles & Lane Holtzclaw, Richard & Judy Dixon and Shannon & Eric Hubbard, great-grandparents, Raymond & Jewell Holtzclaw and Rev. Dickie & Vivian Dixon, great-grandmother, Shirley Lawson, aunts, Kalyssa Hubbard, Jennifer Hubbard, Faith Addison, Macie Addison and Savannah Addison and aunt & uncle, Cristy Phillips & Matt Edgecombe.  Also surviving are many loving friends, neighbors and their church family.
