Steven Earl McDonald

Steven Earl McDonald, age 40, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on May 5, 1983, to the late Earl McDonald and Wanda Bridges McDonald. 

He leaves behind his loving wife of 12 years, Angi McDonald; as well as their children, Autumn Reeves, A.J. Reeves, and Grayson McDonald. Steven's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Eaton.

A passionate outdoorsman, Steven found peace in nature. Hunting was his true passion, and he possessed an unmatched appreciation for the beauty of the wilderness. Whether in the woods or on a peaceful lake, Steven felt a strong connection to the natural world around him.

However, it was in his roles as a husband, father, and friend that Steven's true essence shone brightest. His love for Angi was unwavering, and their bond was a source of strength for both of them. As a father, he was a guiding light for his children, always offering unwavering support, encouragement, and love. Steven's love and devotion to his family knew no bounds.

In the hearts and memories of those he leaves behind, Steven will forever remain a cherished husband, an amazing dad, and a dear friend. His life serves as a reminder of the profound impact one person can have on the world. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us through the love and memories he shared.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home in honor of Steven to help the family offset final expenses.
