Tommy R. Pitchford

Tommy Richard Pitchford, 84 of Gainesville died Monday July 10th, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, Tommy had lived in Hall County for all of his life. He was the son of the late Ray and Montine Pitchford. Tommy had retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 38 years of service. He was a member of Clemons Chapel United Methodist Church.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley A. Pitchford.

Survivors include children Sharon P. Roper, Flowery Branch, Richard (Carolyn) Pitchford,   Brookton, Debbie Brito, Buford, grandchildren, Brandon (Kristi) Haney, Shonda (Davonte) Young, Thomas Brito, Scarlett (Cesar) Jarquin, Samantha Brito great grandchildren, Breonna Haney, Michaela Haney, Daylan Young, Danaavah Young, Cesar Jarquin lll, Alicia Jarquin, Julian Roper, stepchildren Tim (Marie) Merck, Gainesville, Sundi (Ricky) Dyer, Clermont, Lori (Lowell) Whitmire, Flowery Branch, step grandchildren, Peyton Merck, Tanner Merck, Trace Merck, Keely Merck, Matti Dyer, Taylor (Hanna) Whitmire, Charlie Whitmire, step great grandchild Archer Whitmire. 

The family would like to thank his home healthcare nurses Kayla Black and Christine Whitley. 

Memorial services will be held Thursday July 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Dr. Rich Griffith will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday July 12, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
