Cecil W. Holtzclaw, age 84, of Auburn, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sawtell Holtzclaw and Lee Clara Samples Holtzclaw. Mr. Holtzclaw is survived by his son, Scott Holtzclaw of Braselton; son-in-law, Tony Dimaio of Braselton; son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Julie Holtzclaw of Jefferson; and daughter, Sherrie Cavarretta of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Anthony Atha of Auburn, Michael Pool of Auburn, Billy Holtzclaw of Statesville, NC, Chloe Holtzclaw of Buford, Valerie Looper of Flowery Branch, and Tyler Cavarretta of Flowery Branch. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Mr. Holtzclaw was born May 23, 1939 in Cumming, GA and received his education at Vance Crossroads School in Buford. He attended Moler Barber School in Atlanta. Cecil became a barber in 1965 and he cut hair in and around Buford for over fifty years. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023.
