Nicholas Bryant Puckett

Nicholas Bryant Puckett, 34, of Pendergrass, GA died Friday, June 23, 2023 in Houston, TX after a battle with cancer.

Born April 10, 1989, in Gwinnett, GA, Nick grew up in the area and graduated from North Gwinnett High School, class of 2008.  Nick lived to serve and was happiest when he could help or do for those he loved.  His positivity and genuine care for others were his trademark that led to lifelong friendships.  He was known to always go the extra mile, whether at work or helping a friend and never said “no” to a project.  His listening skills paired with his positive attitude encouraged those around him to stay and continue through whatever fight they may be facing. 

He proudly served as a Marine for almost nine years with the Food Service Company Combat Logistics Regiment 45 of Smyrna, GA.  Nick enjoyed panning for gold in his beloved Georgia hills, traveling with family and being with his fellow Marines for drill.  He embodied Semper Fidelis.  He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lindsey, and father to his daughter, Mallory.

He is survived by his wife and daughter along with his father and stepmother Ronald and Angela Puckett of Buford, GA, mother and stepfather Deborah and John Brinkley of Winder, GA, brothers Justin Puckett, Preston Puckett, brother and sister-in-law Brandon and Morgan Puckett and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Brittany and Travis Seagert, Andy and Kristen Prihoda, Nathan and Katy Prihoda, Bryan and Kara Prihoda.  He had nine nieces and nephews, Audrina, Eliah, Madelene, Braxton, Harlee, Caroline, Charlotte, Elliot, Cruz and another nephew on the way, Oliver Nicholas.

Services will be held at Flanigan Funeral Home 4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518.  Visitation will be Thursday June 29, 2023 from 16:00 to 20:00 (4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.) and Friday June 30 from 09:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Funeral will be June 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by precession at 12:30 p.m. and burial at Georgia National Cemetery (Canton, GA) at 14:30 (2:30 p.m.).
