Jerry T. Higgins, age 83, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Diane Hosch Higgins; parents, Carol and Reba Hutchins Higgins; sisters, Joyce Higgins Cook, and Becky Higgins Born; grandson, Connor Jackson; brothers-in-law, Darrel Born and Radford Cook. Mr. Higgins is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Frankie Jackson of Sugar Hill; son, Freddie Higgins of Buford, GA; grandchild, Courtney Jackson; great grandson, Ayden Jackson; sister, Dorothy Grace Higgins Morse of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law, Kay Hosch Parker of Lula, GA; niece, Angy (Louis) Lamb of Sugar Hill; nephews, Jack (Karen) Lynn of Buford, Scott McDaniel of Huntsville, AL, Tim (Jody) McDaniel of Sugar Hill; and several cousins. Mr. Higgins was born on May 29, 1940 in Sugar Hill, GA. He was a 1958 graduate of Sugar Hill High School, and attended Oglethorpe University. Mr. Higgins retired from Georgia Boot Company after thirty-six years of service as Director of Purchasing. He was a longtime member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church in Sugar Hill. He loved watching sports on TV and he had a love of antique cars. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Zachary Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 at the funeral home.
