Edith Elaine Kemp

Mrs. Edith Elaine Kemp, age 47, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023.

Edith was born September 30, 1975 to Mr. Homer Jones and the late Nancy Argo Jones . Edith was a member of Restoration Baptist Church in Clermont. She loved the outdoors, animals and camping . Edith was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Hatcher and brother, Gregory Jones .

Survivors include her husband of 10 years Julius Wilson Kemp II, sons, Jeffery Hatcher (Alyssa), Henry Hatcher (Amber) and James Schandera (Ashleigh); sisters, Becky Parker, Nancy Whitfield, Susan Jones, Patricia Garrison and Donna Foster; brother, Gregory H Jones. 11 grandchildren. A number of nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Edith will be held on Monday, Junes 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Ward's Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Wards Funeral Home.
