Frankie Bishop “Chunk” Burns, age 64 of Commerce, GA passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023.
Born on Dec. 28, 1958 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Burns was the son of Hazel Gillespie Burns and the late Frankie Burns. He was a self-employed mechanic and was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Burns; and daughter, Kimberly Poole.
Survivors in addition to his mother include sons, Mitchell Dowdy, Wesley Ward; daughters, Christy Bonds, Barbara Collins, Michelle Ward; sisters, Judy Nsong, Mary Bolton; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Bush River Baptist Church. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday Ivie Funeral Home.
