Donald Wayne McEachin

On December 7, 2022, Donald Wayne McEachin, Jr., 88, left this world to reunite in heaven with his beloved wife, Nina Sue McEachin.

His funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on September 20, 1934 in Albany, GA, he was the son of the late Donald Wayne and Louise Hewitt McEachin. After a career of Service at County, State and Federal levels, Mr. McEachin retired from Gwinnett County Mental Health. Mr. McEachin was a member and Sunday school teacher for many decades at Gainesville First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Mr. McEachin was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katlin Pierce and brother, Tom McEachin.

Mr. McEachin is survived by his daughter and son in law, Beth and Jack Leathers of Kingsland, GA; son and daughter in law, Don and Lori McEachin of Oakwood, GA; sons, Darryl McEachin of Flowery Branch, GA, David McEachin of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Josh, TJ, Taylor, Brittany, Sadie, Jackie, Grace, Kirsten; 8 great grandchildren; sister and husband, Winnell and Dan Marsengill of Jacksonville, AL and a number of other loving relatives.
