Marquez Sanchez Cantrell passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Northeast Ga Medical Center. Marquez was born to Sherry O. Cantrell and Gabriel Bui in Richmond County Augusta on June 15, 1987.
Marquez attended Myers Elementary School and graduated from Johnson High School. He was such a joyful and loving person. He loved cars and loud music. He was very vocal and always spoke his mind. He loved his family and shared a special bond with his great nephew Jayshon Amir Banks, cousins Mon Butler, Brandon Butler, and Rodriguez Mize.
He was preceded in death by Ruby Jean Moore, Edward Henry Cantrell, Mary Lois Cantrell, and Roshanda Monique Robinson.
Marquez leaves to cherish his memory to his mother Sherry O. Cantrell and father Gabriel Bui. Sibling Antwane (Nikki) Thurmond, Pierre Young, and Lisheena Cantrell. Uncles Roger Cantrell, Taurus Cantrell, Derrick Cantrell. And one Aunt Sherry Brodus. Nieces and nephews Jebrya Banks, Jenya Banks, Zyi’ Kevin Cantrell, Trinity Hopkins, Yari’ Quan Cantrell, Zy’Maya Robinson, Great nephews Jayshan Banks, and Messiah Byrd. And a very special friend Kala Chatman.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Antioch Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
