Donald “Bobby” Holland, age 67, of Dahlonega went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Bobby was of the Christian faith and was a member of Cradle Mountain Baptist Church and a former member of The Oaks Baptist Church in Vidalia/Lyons, Georgia. Mr. Holland was born November 3, 1955 to the late Hazel and William Holland. He was raised in South Georgia, Vidalia and Lyons, having moved to Dahlonega in his teens. He was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School where he was a member of the Indians football team. Bobby was a retired construction worker. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed watching his teams on tv, especially Saturday college football games. His other favorites were WWE wrestling and TVLand oldies.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and William Holland; brother Billy Holland; in-laws Maxine and J. D. Ralston; sister-in-law Crystal Ralston and brother-in-law John Dudley Ralston.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 43 years, Patsy Holland; brother Benny Holland of Lyons, Ga.; sister-in-laws Nancy (Jimmy) Hood and Debbie (James) Berry, Dahlonega, Ga, Betsy (Jimmy) Mills, Locust Grove, Ga.; brother-in-law Jay “Tony” Ralston, Dahlonega, Ga; nephews and nieces Derrick Holland, Brian Hood, Jasper Berry, John (Stacie) Ralston, Amy (Tony) Hawkins, April Casey)Trammell and Michelle (Wayne) McKinney. Other relatives include special great great niece, Auriella Sorrells; great nieces and nephews: Tara Juliet Delvalle, Elaina Jett, Ella McKinney, Emily Trammell, Kaylee Trammell, Summer and Gracie Ralston, Luke McKinney, Caleb McKinney and Sawyer Trammell. Other family and friends also survive.
Graveside Services will be held in the cemetery of Mill Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 with Pastor Wayne McKinney officiating.
