Minette Blanchet Davison

Minette Blanchet Davison, 87, died peacefully at home in Lula, GA on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Her services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, VA after notification. It is anticipated that over 45 weeks will be the current waiting period for final interment. She will be interred with full honors alongside her husband of 55 years. LCDR Hugh Miller Davison, USN who predeceased her on December 5, 2014.

Mrs. Davison was born September 27, 1935, in London England to Florence Louise Blanchet. After graduation from school, she left England for America aboard the Queen Mary with her new Navy husband destined for New York City, then to Norfolk, VA. She was a world traveler, avid gardener, fantastic cook, and mother of five children, four grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-granddaughters.

She is survived by Vivienne L. Long (Daughter), Roxana Arias, and Esther Arias, Lula, GA, Elise Minette Cannon (Daughter), San Francisco, CA, Francis Vincent Cannon (Son) and Lavonne Cannon of Bealeton, VA, David Cannon (Grandson) and Belinda Cannon, and Aurora (Great-Granddaughter), Virginia Beach, VA, Elise Marie Cannon (Granddaughter), Tennessee Cannon (Great-Granddaughter), Vancouver, WA, Kyle Loyd Davison (Son), Katie Ford, and Kameron Davison (Grandson) of Oceanside, CA, Jake Harley Davison (Grandson) and Ella Rose Marie Davison (Great-Granddaughter), Jacksonville, FL.  Predeceased are: William (Bill) James Cannon (Son), and Denise Cannon, and William (Billy) James Cannon, Jr. (Grandson), of Vancouver, WA
