Martha Jean Fowler Phillips

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Martha Jean Fowler Phillips, age 71 of Elberton, Georgia formerly of Jefferson who entered rest Friday, June 3, 2022.  Ms. Phillips was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late Hoke and Claudia Sergeant Fowler, was a member of Lebanon Church and was retired from Harmony Grove Mills.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Phillips is preceded by a brother Verlin Fowler and a granddaughter, Stormy Williams.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Lackey of Jefferson, Lisa Phillips of Elberton, and Pam Silman of Toccoa.  Son, Tracey Phillips of Clayton.  Sister, Rachel Roach of Commerce.  Two brothers, Randy Fowler of flowery Branch, Doug Fowler of Commerce.  Twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one on the way.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9, 2022, from the Bethany Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Palmer Pace officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service 1:00 – 2:30 P.M.
