Malcom Drew Ogletree

Obituary Date: Saturday, February 12, 2022

Malcolm Drew Ogletree, age 34, of Gainesville, GA, suddenly passed away Saturday February 12, 2022. He was born in Gainesville, Ga on September 29, 1987, to his loving parents Dwayne Steven and Angie Hammond Ogletree.

He was a lifetime resident of Hall County GA. He attended North Hall High School where he enjoyed playing baseball, camping, and hanging with his friends. He was employed at Hydro Extrusion in Gainesville, GA.

Malcolm was a huge Georgia bulldog fan and always enjoyed watching them play. He especially enjoyed watching them win the national championship.  Malcolm never met a stranger and was always known for his goofy smiling facial expressions and his young child like face.

When he walked into a room his caring, funny personality would draw you to him. He was a great friend and would give you the shirt off his back, but don’t touch his hat. Malcolm had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone that knew him.

Malcolm is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother B.J. Payne, his parental grandparents Calvin and Mary Ann Ogletree; and his best friend Tony Moscaritolo.

Survivors include his father Dwayne Ogletree, of Gainesville, GA; his loving mother Angie Ogletree, of Gainesville, GA; maternal grandparents Ray and Peggy Payne, of Cleveland, Ga; brother and sister-in-law Christopher (Suzzi) Wright of Martinez, Ga; Sister Deanna Ogletree of Gainesville, Ga; Nephews Landon Ogletree and Hutson Ogletree of Gainesville, Ga; Nieces Layla Ogletree of Gainesville, Ga; Kira Wright and Mckenna Wright of Martinez, Ga; Aunt Jill (Dean) Coulter of Statesboro, Ga; Aunt Brenda Elrod of Dahlonega, Ga; Aunt Emma (Eddy) Williams of Athens, Ga; Uncle Rocky Hammond of Gainesville, Ga; Aunt Pam Vrooman of Gainesville, Ga and countless numbers of relatives, and friends.

Family will receive friends starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday February 19, 2022, at Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, Ga where a Celebration of Life will follow starting at 3:00pm.
