Melvin Earnest Durham

Melvin Earnest Durham age 70 of Dahlonega formerly of Gainesville entered rest Saturday Feb. 12, 2022.

Melvin was born September 1, 1951 to the late Marvin & Lindy Matthews Durham. He worked as a security guard with EKG Security and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Martin; son, Stacey Durham; brother, Marvin “Bud” Durham; sister, Lindy Grace Adkins.

Left to cherish his memory, son, Jonathan (Crystal) Durham; daughter, Samantha (Patrick) Webb; step-son, Tim Carpenter; step-daughter, Kenia (Trey) Smith; sisters, Judy Durham & Sandra Hayes; grandchildren, his pride & joy, Angel, Khloe, Maddie, Zach, Sofie, Remi, Mia, Hannah & Victoria; step-grandchildren, Coby, Karie, Mark, Destiny, Faith, Michael, Cayleigh, Caden & Cody; & a host of bonus grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 16, 2022 at the Chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
