He was born September 9, 1952 in Dahlonega, GA.  Lamar loved life, the Georgia “Bulldawgs,” and was an avid NASCAR Fan.  Bill Elliot was his favorite driver, and Lamar enjoyed many trips to various raceways throughout his life, including the Daytona 500.  He was always up for a good time and lasting memories. He treasured his family, friends, and just sitting back and relaxing. His greeted those closest to him with his infamous “Yo!”  He was known as someone who would truly give you the shirt off his back, This is exemplified by being selected “10th Grade Class Favorite” at North Hall High School. An honor Lamar proudly shared with others. Lamar will be tremendously missed by all those who knew him.

Working for J & J Foods for the majority of his career, Lamar managed the meat department.  Learning the skills of a master butcher, Lamar always acknowledged he learned his special talent from his Uncle Bill. Customer service was a top priority, and Lamar was exceptional in this area.
