J.M. McDaniel

J.M. McDaniel, age 85, of Statham, GA passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Jean Price McDaniel; daughter, Barbara Joyce Couch, Cynthia Elaine Atkinson.  He is survived by his children, Judith F. (Barney) Dawley, Winder, GA, Shirley Ann Castille, Lawrenceville, GA, Sharon K. (Donald C.) Berey, Lawrenceville, GA, John M. (Kelly) McDaniel, Winder, GA; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice (Jimmy) Matthews, Clarksville, GA, Grace Davis, Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. McDaniel was born March 28, 1936 in Georgia.  He was a retired security guard.  Mr. McDaniel was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church, Dacula, GA.  He was a member of The Woodmen of the World.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Wright officiating.  Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
