Mary M. Lemm

Obituary Date: Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Mary M Lemm, 94, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021 in Dacula, Georgia.

Mary was born on June 29, 1926 to Carl and Lillie Rauch in Buffalo, Iowa. She graduated from Buffalo High School.

On September 12, 1948 she married Robert H Lemm at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Mary and Bob lived in Iowa, North Dakota, Illinois, Massachusetts and Georgia during their 45 years of Marriage, making many Friends wherever they resided.  They traveled to many places Worldwide. After Bob's passing, Mary continued her travels as long as she was able.  In earlier years she enjoyed bowling and golf and loved to play bridge.

She was an active volunteer for many years at the North Georgia Medical Center Gift Shop and the Gainesville Theater Alliance Theater Wings.  She was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.

She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother and worked tirelessly to make our lives better. We all loved her very much and will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey (Carolyn) of Davenport, Iowa, Barbara (Michael) Blair of Norcross, Georgia, Laura (the late Charles) White of Gainesville, Georgia, a grandson, Eric (Kelli) Sas of Lawrenceville, Georgia, a great-grandson, William Sas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Eloise Bullock, and brothers, Richard, Louis, Chester and Carl Rauch, and son-in-law, Charles White.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of North Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Pkwy #222, Gainesville, GA 30501 or Gainesville Theater Alliance Theater Wings, PO Box 1261, Gainesville, GA 30503.

There will be a Visitation on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Hwy SW, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Mary will be interred this Summer, rejoining the Love of her Life, Bob, at The Rock Island (Illinois) National Cemetery.
