Gail Bennett

Obituary Date: Saturday, January 2, 2021

Gail Bennett of Cumming, Georgia went to spend eternity with her Savior in heaven on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 69.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Bob and Juanita Bennett. She is survived by her adoring children, daughter and son-in-law, Shaun and Scott McAliley of Jasper, and son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Kaylee Stewart of Cumming. She also survives four grand-children-Luke, Ashlyn, Avery and Bennett.

She is also survived by her siblings, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Tammy Bennett of Gainesville, sister Nancy Elder of Acworth, and sister Susan Bennett of Acworth. She is survived by her nephews and nieces as well; Nicholas and Brette Bennett, Haley Elder, Kellie and Melissa and Stephen Sprinkle, and Nichole Cunningham. She is preceded in death by her precious niece, Lindsay Elder.

Gail was born in Atlanta, GA and grew up in Marietta. She graduated from Wheeler High School and attended Kennesaw College. She earned an associate degree and became a paralegal. She traveled extensively, worked hard, took care of her parents, and was incredibly involved at her church her entire life. She gave to everyone around her and took care of those in need. Her passion was working with children and she did so through being the director of a Primrose Day School, teaching Sunday School at her church, working as a counselor with the youth group at her church, and through Vacation Bible School. She loved her single ladies Sunday School class and volunteered alongside them at many church events until she became ill. Her legacy is her love and faith. One of her favorite verses of scripture was Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” ESV

She was the most loving mother two children could ever hope to be given. She gave to them sacrificially and loved them fiercely. We will love and miss her every day, until we see her again in eternity, and when we meet Jesus face to face. We will look forward to that day with great anticipation!
