Henry Joseph Dumas

Henry Joseph Dumas, age 89, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Hoschton, GA. He is survived by his three daughters, Jeaniece Peppers (Michael) of Hoschton, GA; Michelle Owen (Steve) of Acworth, GA and Colette Lawrence (Avery) of Hoschton, GA.  He is the beloved “Pop Pop the Great” by his ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  Mr. Dumas was born December 1, 1931 in Atlantic City, NJ.  He served 2 years in the United States Army where he was a tank driver and gunnery instructor and received honorable discharge as a Corporal. He was an oil truck driver for 25 years and also sold ice cream on the beach of Atlantic City, NJ for 66 years.  Mr. Dumas is predeceased by his wife, Jeaniece Lemmons Dumas; parents, Emile and Carolyn Dumas; brother, Emile Dumas; Jr. and two sisters, June Ryan and Carol Dumas.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Steve Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
