G.L. Presgraves

Mr. G.L. Presgraves, age 91, of Jefferson passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee, Georgia, with Caleb Tyler officiating.

Mr. Presgraves was born May 29, 1929 to the late Emmanuel Louis Presgraves, Sr. & Neoma Chastain Presgraves in Towns County.  A Technical Sergeant with the United States Air Force, he retired with over 20 years of service including the Vietnam Conflict.   In addition to serving in the Air Force, he served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant during the Korean War. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Bewsher, his parents, four of his brothers and two sisters. 

He is survived by his brother; James Presgraves, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Nephews; Shane (Holly) Presgraves, Jefferson, Gary (Joann) Presgraves, Flowery Branch, Sister-in-law; Merrelyn Presgraves, Flowery Branch, and a host of other relatives. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Pruitt Hospice for their services and compassion. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
