If you knew Lamar, you knew how much he loved life. He had a sparkle in his eyes with a quick sense of humor and always a witty saying. He loved his wife with all his heart, and he loved his children and was so proud of each one of them. He loved his church and church family. He loved serving in all areas from feeding the children on Wednesday nights to being a Trustee and working on maintaining the Church building and grounds. He loved playing golf especially on Tuesday with his golfing buddies.  His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts, but we take comfort knowing that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior and his “faith has become sight”.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to New Holland Baptist Church, 7 Quarry Street, Gainesville, GA 30501. You may designate either Building Fund, Music Ministry or Youth Ministry as each had a special part in Lamar’s life.
