Patrick “Pat” Stroup, age 66, of Buford, GA passed away Friday, October 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Stroup and mother, Jean Marie Stroup. He is survived by his son, Travis and Jessica Stroup, Lawrenceville, GA; father and stepmother, Eugene and Mary Frances Stroup, Athens, GA; brother, Michael Eugene and Dorsey A. Stroup, Athens, GA; aunts, Tinsey Rickman, Canton, NC, Audrey and Wayne Howell, Christiansburg, VA; uncle, Danny W. and Georgianne Stroup, Canton, NC; nieces, Allison and Chip Clarke, Colbert, GA; Amy and Bill Loeber, Newnan, GA; and several cousins and other relatives. Mr. Stroup was born February 20, 1954 in Millington, TN. He was a 1972 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force for nine years and was retired from Sun Force as a sales engineer. He was an enthusiast for the outdoors, fishing, hunting, Georgia football and loved watching movies. He loved his family which was a big part of his life. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stephens, GA with Pastor Nolen Wood officiating.
