Myrtle Lee O'Shields

Mrs. Myrtle Lee O’Shields, age 91, of Flowery Branch, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Bill Wiley will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2020 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. O’Shields was born August 3, 1928 to the late Frank & Leona Hudson.  She was of the Baptist Faith and the last surviving member of her immediate family of 8 children.    

Mrs. O’Shields is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hall of Gainesville, Susan Smith of Covington; and Toni & John Erickson of Flowery Branch; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Coleman O’Shields, Jr.; son, Fred “Buddy” O’Shields, III; and daughter, Brenda Bray.
