James L. (J.L.) Seabolt

Obituary Date: Saturday, May 2, 2020

Mr. James L. (J.L.) Seabolt, age 92, native of Cleveland, Ga, passed away peacefully at his home in the early hours of May 2 with Maxine, his faithful and dedicated wife of 72 years and loving family at his side. Mr. J.L. lived a wonderful and selfless life, serving his early years in the U.S. Army in defense of this great country. He went on to serve the community through Woodmen of the World and as a member of the Freemasons for 65 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland for 76 years. During this time, he also served in the White County shop until retirement. Mr. Seabolt loved to camp with his family, work in his shop, and spend his days with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Fannie Seabolt, brothers, Arnold Seabolt and N.R. Seabolt, and sisters, Ilar Gooch, Carey Rogers, Lillian Norris, Gladys Biggs, and Beatrice Freeman.

(Survivors) J.L. And Maxine had one son, Kerry Seabolt, daughter-in-law Kathy Seabolt, and grandchildren, Leigh Ammons (husband Chris), Kaitlin Loudermilk (husband Benny), and Zack Seabolt; great-grandchildren, Natalie Simmons, Caleb Simmons, Addy Seabolt, and Saylor Loudermilk, who all loved their “Papa J.L.”

A private graveside service will be held.
