Boys basketball: Spartans cruise to 75-48 win over Banks Co.

OAKWOOD -- The West Hall boys basketball team caught fire early en route to a 75-48 win over Banks County on Friday in Oakwood.

The Spartans (7-4, 2-1 Region 7-AAA) jumped out to a 41-18 first half lead.

Deandre Peoples put up 21 points to lead West Hall, while Tyquan Statham added 15. Hunter Atkinson also scored 12 for the Spartans, and Luke Castillo chipped in with 10.

West Hall will play again at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at East Hall, while Banks County will play host to White County on Tuesday.
