GAINESVILLE -- The Johnson girls volleyball team continues to struggle in the early part of the season.
The Lady Knights dropped a pair of matches to Jefferson and Chestatee Thursday at the Chestatee gym.
Johnson (1-5) fell to Jefferson 25-11, 25-21 in the opening match and then lost to Chestatee 25-17, 25-12 in the second match.
Kelly Chance had two aces and six digs for Johnson. Cassie McDonald had two kills and two digs, Katie Williams had three aces, two kills, and one block, and Jenny Barrett had two digs for the Lady Knights.
The Lady Knights next will travel to Lumpkin County on Saturday.
