OCALA, Fla. -- Gainesville's Spencer Ralston continued his stellar summer of golf on Thursday.
The rising Red Elephants freshman finished tied for third in the boys division of the Junior All-Star at Ocala hosted by Ocala-Marion Sports Commission.
Ralston shot a 1-under-par 215 over the three-day tournament, finishing three strokes off the lead of winner Ben Albin from Santa Fe, N.M.
Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the Junior All-Star at Ocala hosted by Ocala-Marion Sports Commission was a 54-hole stroke play competition played on the par-72, Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club. The event featured 62 boys and 20 girls, ages 12-15, from 22 states and one country, Ecuador. The Boys Division played the course at 6,414 yards while the Girls Division played the course at 5,602 yards.
