Nick Markakis stays with Braves for $6 million deal
All-Star outfielder Nick Markakis took a significant pay cut to remain with the Atlanta Braves, even coming off one of the best seasons of his career. Markakis and the Braves agreed Tuesday to a deal that is worth a guaranteed $6 million and includes a club option for 2020.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Wysocki helps Branch to perfect region record
Winning is nothing new to the Flowery Branch Lady Falcons. Over the last four seasons, the Lady Falcons are 98-19, including four straight trips to the state playoffs. They lost to Buford last year in the Class 5A state title game.
