A man looking to rezone a parcel of land along Browns Bridge Road to allow for office space and storage for his demolition and towing company had his request denied by the Hall County Commission Thursday.

The Hall County Commission and the Gainesville City Council will both vote in the near future on whether or not to jointly create and manage a land bank.

Road work will shut down a bridge in White County for almost a month starting in June.

The city of Flowery Branch is looking at options to preserve a piece of its past, a fire truck that is nearly 60 years old.
