Sheriffs expand concerns about Waze mobile traffic app
A law enforcement campaign to compel Google Inc. to disable a feature in its popular Waze traffic app that lets drivers warn others about nearby police activity shifted Wednesday when a sheriffs' organization openly complained that the app not only puts officers' lives at risk, it also interferes with the ability to write speeding tickets.

Lebanese Hezbollah hits Israeli convoy, killing 2 soldiers
Missiles fired by the Lebanese Hezbollah group struck an Israeli military convoy on Wednesday, killing two soldiers in an apparent retaliation for a deadly airstrike attributed to Israel that killed six Hezbollah fighters in Syria earlier this month.

Family, friends, colleagues and others gathered for a reception at the Hall County Courthouse recently to honor former Northeastern Judicial Circuit Chief Juvenile Court Judge Cliff L. Jolliff. Jolliff retired December 31 after 24 years on the bench.
