It looks like the government is more conflicted about cellphones on planes than most travelers. Even as one federal agency considers allowing the calls, another now wants to make sure that doesn't happen.

Forsyth schools supt. retiring; plans announced for make-up days
Forsyth County Schools Supt. L.C. (Buster) Evans plans to retire from public education June 30. He made the announcement at Thursday night's school board meeting at which plans to make up some of the days missed this winter because of the weather were announced.

US home sales plunged 5.1 percent in January
Sales of existing U.S. homes plummeted in January to the worst pace in 18 months. Cold weather, limited supplies of homes on the market and higher buying costs held back purchases.

Storms damage homes, bring down trees
There were reports of several homes damaged in central Georgia and trees toppled across north Georgia after a fast-moving line of thunderstorms brought high winds and plunging temperatures to the region.
