Drought conditions remain virtually unchanged
Recent rains have done little to ease drought conditions across the Southeast, and the northeast corner remains the hardest hit part of Georgia.

State jobless rate unchanged; # of jobs lost up
The Georgia Department of Labor reports that the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.7 percent from May to June, but was up 1.3 percent from 4.4 percent in June of 2007.
