G-Braves blank Bulls
The Gwinnett Braves (38-52) braved the elements and battled to a 2-0 win over the Durham Bulls (55-35) on Saturday night at Coolray Field. Right-hander Kameron Loe (W, 3-2) produced a strong performance, hurling 5.0 scoreless, three-hit innings and striking out two in his third start of the season.

AP: Pistons, Josh Smith agree to $54M deal
Long-time Atlanta Hawk Josh Smith and the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a $54 million, four-year contract, according to a person familiar with the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on Saturday on condition of anonymity because the agreement has not been announced.

another wet and slippery night, the Gwinnett Braves (37-52) were handed their third-straight loss as Jason Berken and the Charlotte Knights (40-49) posted a 2-0 win on Friday night at Coolray Field. Charlotte completed a two-game sweep of the series with help from the rain, which ended the game in the bottom of the eighth.
