It was Senior Night at Flowery Branch but it would not be the last time the senior Falcons would play at home. Flowery Branch pounded Johnson 42-13 at Falcons Field behind senior quarterback Jaybo Shaw. The Falcons' win, combined with a 40-14 Gainesville win over West Hall Friday, handed the Falcons the 7B-AAA subregion title.

Staying alive was the theme around northeast Georgia Friday night as the high school football season heads into its final week of the regular season.

Lewis Clinch scored 21 points and Georgia Tech scored 74 points in the first half on the way to beating Carson-Newman 126-86 Friday night in an exhibition game.
