Lady Spartans get first win, beat Alpharetta
The West Hall girls basketball team got its first win of the season Saturday night. The Lady Spartans hit 22-of-33 free throws and held off Class AAAAA Alpharetta 45-41 in overtime in the South Forsyth Turkey Shootout.

Lady Vikings take Greyhound tourney title
The defending Class AAA state champion East Hall girls basketball team picked up another title Saturday night. The Lady Vikings erased an eight-point halftime deficit to beat host Pope 42-38 and capture the Greyhound Thanksgiving Tournament Championship.
