Arkansas rallies, avoids upset again
Casey Dick's 25-yard pass to Gragg kept Arkansas' last-ditch drive alive, and his 8-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Williams moments later gave the Razorbacks a 28-27 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. The Hogs trailed 24-6 in the third quarter, but for the second straight week, they rallied to avoid a major upset.

Pirates pull second straight upset; whip WVU
Skip Holtz followed his biggest coaching victory at East Carolina with an even more impressive one. Jonathan Williams had two short touchdown runs, quarterback Patrick Pinkney was nearly perfect and the Pirates routed No. 8 West Virginia 24-3 on Saturday for their third straight win over a ranked team.

Softball: Host Lady Wolves sweep through Buford tourney
The Class AA No. 1-ranked Buford girls softball team swept all three games in the Buford-Forsyth Central Invitational Tournament Saturday. The Lady Wolves (11-2) outscored their opponents 29-4 in taking wins over Union County (6-4), Chestatee (15-0), and Jefferson (8-0) as two Buford pitchers recorded no-hitters.

New car, bold move give Elliott first semi-pro win at LNS
Sporting a brand new car at Lanier National Speedway, 12-year-old Chase Elliott needed a bold move Saturday night on the final turn to get his first win of the season. Elliott went high holding off two cars and then was able to slid past Austin Hill at the line to get his first-ever win in the Legends semi-pro division.
