Salgado leads UNG men's soccer to shutout win over Shorter
Irving Salgado knocked home a goal in the 78th minute and the Nighthawk defense would preserve the shutout as the University of North Georgia men's soccer team defeated Shorter, 1-0, on Tuesday evening at the UNG Soccer Complex.

Lee holds off West Georgia, UNG 4th at LeeAnn Noble tourney
The Flames of Lee University held off a charge from West Georgia to claim the 2nd Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Golf Tournament team title by a single stroke on Tuesday afternoon on the par 72, 5,887 yard Achasta Golf Course. Lee's Caroline Moore earned individual medalist honors with a one-under 72-71-143.

Kevin Ellison rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown and threw for 64 yards and a score to lead Georgia Southern to its 11th straight Sun Belt Conference victory, a 56-26 decision over New Mexico State before a crowd of 23,551 Saturday night in Paulson Stadium.

Lions finish strong in regular season finale at Berry College Invitational
In the final regular season competition of the fall, the Piedmont College men's cross country team finished 10th of 13 NCAA Division II, III and NAIA teams at the Berry College Invitational. Junior Cody Parker finished as the Lions top competitor in 46th overall running a 28:35.60.
