A longtime employee with Jackson EMC has a new job title, while another longtime staffer is retiring after 40 years of service.

A relese from the Jackson EMC energy provider says that Brian Harris has been named Vice President of Information Technology, taking over for the retiring Jeff Keen after his 41 years of service.

Harris has been promoted from his previous position as Director of I.T. infrastructure and Data Integrity-a position he held for 7 years.  Harris has been an employee of JEMC since 1997.

President and CEO Chip Jakins says Harris' guidance will continue to push Jackson EMC forward as a leader in their industry, following Keen's leadership through its intial I.T. development.

Harris  received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. He graduated from the UGA Management Development Program and the NRECA Robert Kabat Management Internship Program.

He is a member of InfraGard, an organization that provides a partnership between the FBI and the private sector to provide relevant information for securing critical infrastructure.
