Tickets for Good Launches in United States

By The Associated Press

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 29, 2024--

In a world where access to live events is often limited, Tickets for Good (TFG) emerges as a beacon of hope. Founded on the belief that everyone, regardless of circumstance, deserves the joy of shared experiences, CEO and Founder Steve Rimmer brings his vision to the States, with headquarters situated in Atlanta.

TFG provides free tickets (with a booking fee) to verified audiences including healthcare and charity workers, teachers, and other individuals for whom top-tier cultural events might not otherwise be accessible. “Events are an amazing way to make people happier and healthier just by getting out and enjoying life. That is our key inspiration at Tickets for Good.” Rimmer says.

TFG has been tremendously successful since its 2021 UK launch with over half a million tickets given away valued over 20 million dollars. Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, England Football at Wembley Stadium are just a few of the events that users got to enjoy thanks to TFG. The platform also garnered the attention of British superstar and philanthropist Robbie Williams who became the largest investor in TFG. “Supporting the arts is a cause close to my heart,” explains Williams. “The magic of live entertainment is something everyone should be able to benefit from; so, I’m thrilled to be working with Tickets for Good.” More than a quarter million people in the UK are currently registered. Maxine Meju, an NHS (National Health Service) worker, proclaims, “Tickets for Good has completely upped my social life to another level. For practically free, I’ve been able to watch so many shows and performances I otherwise would not have been able to afford or even have heard about. Long may it continue to provide access for NHS workers like me!” TFG Head of Partnerships Brano Skocek is excited to spearhead the U.S. rollout. He says, “This move was a natural progression for the company, and honestly speaking, the cost-of-living crisis is global, and our ultimate goal is to help wherever it’s needed.”

Rimmer concludes, “We say that we’re a tech for good platform, and we’re leveraging technology to create a solution for a market need which is unsold tickets while enabling people who want to go to events but couldn’t otherwise afford them.”

TFG is powered in part by the Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech Accelerator program being one of 10 start-ups selected to benefit from the program which provides participants access to leaders across the Comcast SportsTech partner consortium.

The platform is completely free to join. Users pay a small booking fee which is capped at $4.95 per ticket. For more information on becoming a Tickets for Good event partner or signing up as a platform subscriber, visit www.ticketsforgood.us.
