Football: Buford rolls past Marietta

BUFORD, Ga. – Buford scored the first 23 points of the game on their way to a 30-3 win over Marietta Friday night.

Mario Ventura got the Wolves on the board with a 39-yard field goal midway through the first quarter before Bryson Banks scooped and scored for 48 yards and a 10-0 lead. K.J. Bolden finished off the first period for a 7-yard reception from Dylan Raiola. Bolden hooked up with Raiola again midway through the second quarter for a 64-yard pitch-and-catch to take a 23-0 lead.

After a Marietta field goal before halftime, Dylan McCoy plunged in from two yards out to get to the 30-3 final score.

Bolden finished with three catches for 77 yards. Raiola was 11-for-15 for 229 yards through the air.

Buford will travel to Collins Hill to open region play next week.
