By AccessWDUN Staff

A Gainesville man was arrested Monday on drug trafficking and possession charges after deputies found various drugs while attempting to serve an eviction notice at a Gainesville apartment.

Brandon Quertez Goss, 31, of Gainesville, remained in the Hall County Jail as of Tuesday morning.

According to B.J. Williams, public information officer with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Civil Deputies were in the process of serving an eviction notice at an apartment complex on Lenox Park Drive. As those deputies were searching for identification for one of the two residents, they spotted what they believed to be illegal narcotics in a small satchel.

Investigators with the HCSO's Special Investigation Unit were then called to the scene.

Investigators confiscated 15 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of cocaine and an ounce of marijuana from the satchel. They then determined Goss was the owner of the satchel and the illegal drugs. Williams said the estimated street value for the drugs was about $4,150.

He was charged with felony trafficking of fentanyl, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The other person inside the apartment was not charged.
