By AccessWDUN Staff

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – Lambert controlled the final 14 minutes of Friday night's game at Tiger Stadium, pushing a three-point game to a 30-point win over Dawson County by a 48-18 final score.

Lambert scored first at the 9:21 mark of the opening quarter before Dom LeBlanc put the Tigers on the board two minutes later with a 22-yard field goal to trim the lead to 7-3. After a Longhorn safety cut the lead even further down to 7-5, LeBlanc put Dawson County out in front for the first time on a 41-yard boot to take an 8-7 lead.

The Longhorns answered with a touchdown with 41 seconds to play until halftime, but Dawson quickly drove down the field, setting up LeBlanc for his third field goal of the first half, this one from 45 yards out to put the score at 14-11 at halftime.

Lambert scored first out of the halftime break on a 1-yard run, but LeBlanc scored again on the ensuing drive, this time on a 31-yard pass from Davis Glass to cut the lead to 21-18. That was as close as the Tigers could get as Lamber scored with 1:08 left in the third to take a 10-point lead and followed it up with an onside kick and score just nine seconds later.

Glass finished 16-of-28 passing for 274 yards and a touchdown. LaBlanc had seven catches for 171 yards.

The Tigers will play host to North Hall next week.
