Authorities looking for man who stole cash from Hall County farm business

By Christian Ashliman Anchor/Reporter

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday issued a “be on the lookout” alert for local residents after reports came in that a man had stolen cash from a local farm business.

The suspect can be seen in video footage walking into a business in the 4000 block of Clarks Bridge Road on Sunday afternoon. The man opens a fridge and browses its contents and then closes the fridge and takes a plastic bag from a dispenser on the wall.

With the plastic bag over his hand, he removes the lid of a jar filled with cash on a nearby counter. The suspect then begins removing the cash and placing it in the plastic bag.

“Honest customers use the jar to pay for their purchases on the honors system,” Hall County officials said Wednesday.

The suspect is described by authorities as being in his mid-50s, standing approximately six feet tall and weighing roughly 170 pounds. He was wearing a pink or red shirt and purple pants at the time of the crime.

Those who are able to provide any information on the suspect are asked to contact Investigator Vaughan at (770) 531-3153.
